Riding Academy

Academy

Fox & Oak Farm’s Academy was designed for children to explore their passion for ponies and experience the equestrian sport in a safe, professional, and proven training environment. Fox & Oak Farm offers young riders, under the age of 8, an opportunity to learn from NCCP High Performance 1 coach, Taylor Brooks, in a program that has produced countless National Champions.

This exclusive program is offered to a select number of students per session to ensure adequate lesson availability and flexibility, private coaching, and a pony to learn from of their very own.

"Taylor Brooks is unquestionably one of the best hunter jumper coaches for children in North America. Her results have proven this with countless Canadian national championships as well as top finishes at American National Championships — not only for her students but lately for herself, competing and winning at the most elite levels of the sport.

While competing successfully is a certainty with Taylor’s coaching, Taylor is also an excellent role model teaching work ethic, manners, family values, and the importance of horse care.  All of my children were brought up in Taylor’s program and while they all enjoyed tremendous competitive success, it is these other intangible values which I believe have served my children so well beyond their competitive riding years and into their young adult lives at University and into their professional careers.

Taylor is excellent at pairing horses with kids, “making the match” with an emphasis on safety.  All horses in Taylor’s barn receive excellent vet care and the barn is immaculately well kept.  Critically, Taylor enjoys teaching children and so her kids learn to ride well and are generally top of the sport.

Overall, Taylor’s coaching at Fox and Oak Farm delivers a winning competitive program that trains kids to be excellent riders, in a safe and clean environment.  Most importantly, Taylor is herself an excellent role model from which kids learn values and skills that serve them beyond the equestrian world and into their lives."
